BTC nationally recognized as “Randall M. Whaley Incubator of the Year”

The National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) named the Business Technology Center the Randall M. Whaley Incubator of the Year. The award, which honors incubator excellence, is the most prestigious an incubator can receive. The BTC is the only Thomas Edison Program incubator in Ohio to have been presented this honor since its inception.

The Incubator of the Year award honors Randall M. Whaley, former president of the University City Science Center in Philadelphia and founding chairman of the NBIA. It is awarded to an incubator that has exemplified the association's principles and practices of successful business incubation. With this recognition, BTC joins a distinguished group of previous recipients including the Quebec Biotechnology Innovation Centre, San Jose’s Software Business Cluster, Austin Technology Incubator, and the Advanced Technology Development Center in Atlanta, among others
